David Goldenberg

David Goldenberg is Chief of Staff for ADL.  He previously served as ADL’s Evelyn R. Greene Midwest Regional Director for over 6 years. 

Before joining ADL, David was a senior leader at Resolute Consulting, a national public affairs firm, where he advised public and private sector clients—including Fortune 500 companies—on crisis communications and strategic engagement.

Earlier in his career, David spent a decade in government and politics. He began as a legislative aide in the Michigan Senate before moving to Capitol Hill, where he held various roles for a U.S. senator and representative.  As the Representative’s legislative director and then chief of staff, he worked on key initiatives to fight antisemitism, xenophobia, and religious discrimination in the U.S. and internationally. 

David was reappointed in 2025 to the Illinois Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, serves on the Illinois State Treasurer’s Community Advisory Council, and is a 2021 Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow, the region’s leading civic and philanthropic fellowship. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago (JUF) and of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) National Young Leadership Cabinet.  

David holds a BA in International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University and a MA in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University.
